Music I've Been Loving A Lot Recently

I love music. I’m always listening to the radio, a playlist, Spotifty etc but I usually stick to the same ol’ stuff. Recently though, I’ve been trying to explore new artists and genres and I’ve discovered (as well as rediscovered) a love for some pretty great albums which I wanted to share with you…

THE 1975
After having loved the debut album, I decided that when I walked past HMV the other day, that I had to go in and buy their newer album, I LIKE IT WHEN YOU SLEEP, FOR YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL YET SO UNAWARE OF IT. I already knew that I liked their music, so was expecting to love this newer album too, which I do! I really like She’s American and The Sound which I’d heard before as they’re singles so have been playing on the radio a lot. But I also love UGH! (which I’ve just realised is also a single, but I’d never heard it before!) and Paris. I haven’t listen enough yet to be able to distinguish all the songs from each other yet, but I am loving the overall sound and style of the album so far!

TWENTY ONE PILOTS
At the same time that I bought the above album, I also bought BLURRYFACE by Twenty One Pilots. I’d taken an immediate liking to both Stressed Out and Ride when I heard them on the radio, and so when I was on Spotify and wondering who I should listen to in order to further develop my taste in music, I saw it as a great chance to listen to the rest of the album. I didn’t get much of a chance to listen to it, and then I decided that I would just go ahead and buy a physical copy of the album so I could have it on my phone and be able to play it without wifi. Turns out, it’s a great album and although I haven’t yet listened to it enough to know each individual song, I’m already really liking it! (Actually, I’m playing music on my iTunes atm, and Tear In My Heart just came on – so I’ve realised that actually I do already know this one well enough to remember that it’s one of my faves from the album.) I’m so glad that I did buy it because it’s a completely different sound to the kind of music that I usually stick to and it’s really nice to have discovered something new!

ed sheeran
On the subject of the type of music I do usually go for, I’ve been absolutely obsessed with DIVIDE by Ed Sheeran. I have listened to it pretty much every single day since it came out on 3rd March and I love it so much. This album is literally such a variety of different sounds; there’s Shape of You at one end of the spectrum, being very digital and then you have Nancy Mulligan at the other end, with a very Irish/Country music vibe. My favourite song is without a doubt, Galway Girl but New Man/Barcelona/Bibia Be Ye Ye (I just can’t decide!) is still a close 2nd and What Do I Know? has such uplifting lyrics and makes me really happy whenever I listen to it. If you’ve somehow managed to not hear any of the songs, then I really do think you should have a listen because the album is a mix of so many different genres/sounds and so I’m sure there’ll be at least one song (or the whole album?!) that you’ll love! :)

COLDPLAY
Ever since MYLO XYLOTO first came out and my family and I listened to it on repeat for one of our family holidays, I have loved the album. It’s definitely one of my favourite albums (and possibly the favourite one) of all time. Recently I transferred it onto my phone and have listened to it so much again, being reminded of how much I love it. Hurts Like Heaven (pre-ceded by Mylo Xyloto) is such a brilliant song to listen to and just thoroughly enjoy. It’s one of those songs that just makes you want to sing at the top of your voice whilst dancing crazily in your room! I also love Charlie Brown and Princess of China (featuring Rhianna), and they’re some of the few songs that whenever they come on, I never skip because they’re a joy to listen to.

The reminder of how much I love MYLO XYLOTO made me question why I’ve never listened to A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS even though my dad has owned it since it came out?! Seriously, why did I not think to do that?! Anyway – it’s fantastic. Coldplay have a real unique quality about them that I can never quite explain to myself, but all of their music is such a high standard and often like nothing else you’d hear from any other artist/song/band or whatever. Two of my favourite songs on the album are Fun and Army of One. (The latter actually has a hidden track which I’ve always found super exciting on an album and so this is no exception!) Kaleidoscope is such an unusual song and entirely different to everything else I’ve heard before. It’s almost an eerie sound, but a happy-sounding eerie (?) – it’s frankly very weird – but I absolutely love it. I think Coldplay are so good at that; they can make a song that anywhere else or by anybody else wouldn’t work sound amazing and I don’t know how they do it! – Actually, no. I do know how they do it; talent. Lots and lots of talent.

Florence and the machine
Again, another ‘older’ album that I’ve rediscovered recently, is LUNGS. This is nearly 8 years old, and like the Coldplay album, I have a clear memory of listening to on an old family holiday. I was in the car with my friend and his family (who’d also come with us) on our way to the beach, and I can clearly remember us all laughing and singing to the album and it now just makes me so happy to listen to it now as it reminds me of that holiday! Anyway, Dog Days Are Over is a hugely uplifting song and was always my favourite, but I think Cosmic Love has actually overtaken it now!! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the former, but Cosmic Love is such a great song and I can't help but love it. I really think that I need to listen to some of the band’s newer stuff, and I’m pretty sure we actually have a copy of CEREMONIALS so I’ll have a listen to that soon!

So those are 6 of the albums I have been obsessed with recently! It’s quite a mix, but they’re all so great in completely different ways! What are some of your favourite albums to listen to?

July Favourites

As you may have read in my previous post (which you can read HERE) I actually was almost organised enough to publish my June favourites; yep, it was all written and everything, I just had one picture left to take but didn't take it before I went on holiday and by the time I was back, it was August, so definitely too late to publish it. So here I am, almost crying as I'm deleting the post, and rewriting, but it's okay because I have lots of favourites from July to tell you about (even if it probably is bordering on too late to publish this one too...)

Film Favourite: 'Captain Phillips' Film
We watched this as a family on a lazy afternoon in Italy and I absolutely loved it. It's based on the true story of Richard Phillips, the captain of a large cargo ship which got hijacked by pirates in 2009. It's quite scary knowing that this actually happened, but Tom Hanks (who plays Phillips) is absolutely phenomenal in this film. He portrays the emotion so ridiculously well, and I've now decided that Tom Hanks is my favourite actor. It's definitely not a lighthearted film, but if you don't mind that, then I would definitely suggest that you watch it.

Music Favourite: 'Revival' Album, by Selena Gomez
I. Love. This. Album.
I have listened to it sooo much recently and genuinely love all the songs on there. My favourites are probably 'Sober' and Cologne' although they're all amazing. I love the album so much, that my friends and I have booked tickets to see her Revival world tour in just a few months! It'll be my first concert and I think it'll be an incredible first concert to go to!

Fashion Favourite: Nike Shoes
I found these shoes in a Sports Direct outlet a couple of months ago, but I've been wearing them soo much in July. They're so comfy and go with everything, aand because I'm a size 5, I got them in the Junior sizes so they were cheaper! I got them for only £19.99!!

Random Favourite: Pokemon Go
I'll admit it, I'm loving this app. I don't actually see why people have a problem with it; it's getting people out and about, even if it is only through an app. Surely being outside just to catch virtual creatures is better than being on an app indoors?..and those little creatures are pretty cute; here are my faves from the ones I've caught:

Beauty Favourite: Zoella Beauty, Tutti Frutti Range Body Lotion
I would actually like to apologize for how bad a picture this is...oops
I do realise that this range has just stopped being sold, but I'd ordered two of the body lotions a while ago because I hadn't tried the range and I wanted to do so before I couldn't any longer. I took one on holiday with me (I had already tried it before this) because I thought the fruity scent would be better suited to the very hot weather of Italy, and I loved it. It was so refreshing and great because I don't cope well in heat, so this was a great option for the weather.

So that's it for this post. I know I haven't mentioned many favourites, but this month was a bit haphazard, with half of it spent in another country, so I haven't had many chances to try out new things! If you haven't seen it, in my last post, I tried out a new idea in which I spoke about my favourite moments in July. If you wanted to read that one, then you can do so by clicking HERE.

What were your favourites from July?

My Happiness Project | July Favourites

Before I went on holiday to Italy, I was almost ready to publish my June favourites, even if it was already late by that point. Now that we've already settled nicely into August, I don't think it would be either appropriate or acceptable for me to post it now as it would be ridiculously late, so June will have to be skipped (even though I promise I was actually on the verge of being organised with it all). So because of this, I'm going to head on straight to my faves of the great month of July. Because of how much I enjoyed July, I've had a new idea for a little twist on the ol' favourite posts. (Well, maybe not a new idea - I'm sure someone's done this before - but a new idea for me).

I don't think I've mentioned this but I've been feeling a little down recently and I've been really struggling for motivation (I did have a post fully completed explaining this all, but I decided not to publish it in the end :( - I wasn't brave enough) and so I wanted to help this by mentioning my favourite little happenings that made me happy each month as an addition to monthly favourites posts. I want to be able to look back on each month and remember the little things; whether they be small achievements or just things made me happy, and so I thought, 'what better place to do this than on my blog?'.

So without further ado, here are my favourite moments from July!

I managed to read 5 whole books this month! They were: 'Russian Roulette' by Anthony Horowitz, 'Everything everything' by Nicola Yoon, 'Reasons to stay alive' by Matt Haig, 'All the bright places' by Jennifer Niven, and 'We were liars' by E Lockhart. They were all fantastic. My favourite was 'All the bright places' as it was such a beautiful story, and tackled the difficult task of discussing suicide in such a respectful and delicate manner. If you haven't read it, (which I'm sure a lot of you will have, especially considering that Zoe included it in her book club with WHSmith) then I would wholeheartedly recommend that you do!

I had to have a blood test, and went on my own, as my mum had to be at work. It may sound pathetic, but I'm really pleased that I managed to do it on my own.

On the last day of term, I went with my friends to my local park and we had a really great evening chatting and playing games (not a typical teenager thing to do, I know, but we had a lovely time none the less and it made me very happy).

It was my birthday very early in July, and I had a thoroughly lovely day.

It was also my mum's birthday this month, and she turned 50. Because it was a big birthday, I saved up some money beforehand and managed to book a spa trip for the two of us in a couple of weeks. It's going to be very exciting!

I completed my first year of sixth form! How?!! It's come around so quickly, but I've enjoyed so much about it all.

I bought tickets to my first ever concert! I'm going to see Selena Gomez in a few months with three of my friends! I cannot wait, as I absolutely loveeee the album Revival and think all of the songs are incredible, plus Selena's voice is amazing. It is going to be fantastic!

And, of course, I was lucky enough to have my family holiday in Italy, with three days in Rome. I'll never forget how beautiful Rome was; the Colosseum, the Vatican City...ahhh it was bliss.

So those were some of the little moments that made me smile during July. I've called this post, My Happiness Project as I want this to be something that I do regularly to keep me happy. I think it's so important to be happy, especially that as teenagers, we're put under a lot of stress and we tend to focus on the negatives and it sometimes makes it hard to remember good things.

I hope this post made you smile :)
What were some of your favourite moments from July?

My Happiest Memories Part Two/Two

Hello again!
Today I fancied 'spilling the beans' (or so to speak) about the time when I was happiest. Last week, I wrote about

The Liebster Award Tag Questions!

Hello my little lovelies, thank you so much for sticking with me despite my total lack of effort towards my blog recently. I want to apologize for being so unattentive to my blog, and also for constantly having to apologize for that.

I think we can all agree that I'm pretty useless with regular deadlines so from now on I'm going to post as and when I feel like it, which I hope is okay with you.

Today I was so happy to be tagged by my blogging friend Amanda to do the Liebster Award Tag. I've actually done one of these posts before (although it was ages ago!) but I really enjoying answering questions set by other people, so I'm going to do just that.

Here are the questions that Amanda asked:

1. What do you consider the happiest moment of your life?
This is definitely hard to decide, but there are two days which really stick out as the best days of my life so far (so I guess they're the happiest). One of them was when my best friend Katy and I, surprised our friend Rosa on her 16th birthday with a trip to London and tickets to see Cats the Musical. It was such an exciting and memorable day out.
The other is when we went to Wembley to watch our football team, Norwich City, win the play off final to go into the Premier League. We went with a huge group of almost 30 people and the atmosphere was indescribable. Even almost a year on, I watch the highlights on Youtube (and the DVD which we bought, yes...) and find it just as incredible as the day we were there.
(I think I might actually do a post detailing these two days, as they bring back so many happy memories.)

2. Tell us about your current obsession:
Hmmm I'm not really sure about this one. I guess Harry Potter, although it's not just current, but life-long. I often find myself having deep conversations with my friends Harriet, Iona and Zehra at school about how much we love the story and are thankful to J.K Rowling for writing the books.

3. If someone Shazam'd you, what song would you be?
I always have a different song in my head but I guess the one at the moment is Adele's Rolling in the Deep. I've listened to it so much recently because I think it's so powerful and just a damn great song!

4. What is your Hogwarts house?
I know this one, and it's Hufflepuff. I'm a very proud Hufflepuff, even if there are people who think it's the boring house. Every house has its own qualities and J.K Rowling once said that she'd like to be a Hufflepuff, and for that I'm very honored to be one myself. To be honest though, if it meant I was at Hogwarts, I really wouldn't care which house I was sorted into!

5. What's one fictional character you can see yourself in?
This one's hard. Possibly Luna Lovegood, because although I don't think I'm quite as eccentric as her, I'm a bit socially awkward but try my best to be a nice person. I think Luna is just so innocent and forgiving, so I would love to have a heart like hers.

6. What's one thing that makes you feel better?
Spending time with my family. I love spending time with my immediate family, and also we have such a laugh when we go to visit the cousins, aunties, uncles and grandparents. I honestly look forward to the days when we go to visit family.

7. If you could share a taxi with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?
Whoa, I love this question. Well done Amanda! I'm going to continue with the Harry Potter theme (sorry for anyone who doesn't like Harry Potter!) and say J.K Rowling. Honestly this woman has literally created my childhood and helped me develop such a deep-rooted passion that I know will never leave me. I have so much to thank her for. Also, her imagination is so inexplicably incredible; she created a whole world in her mind and you know that even the tiniest detail has meaning. I wouldn't be surprised if Molly Weasley's grandmother's cousin's daughter's owl had a whole backstory.

8. Tell us about a petty fear of yours:
My friend and I sometimes worry about the future and that we won't make new friends at University, or won't ever find a partner that we're totally compatible with and also the fact that things won't be the same for ever. But I do find not knowing what's going to happen is actually really exciting, so it's a stupid thing to worry about really.

9. If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
To get my act together with school work; revise for A Levels from year 10 and start EPQ aged 7. no but seriously, get my act together because I'm really regretting it now that exams are only next month...
Also to not overthink, I've spent too much time doing this and it's time that could be spent being happy.

10. What's one item of clothing that always makes you feel confident?
Skinny jeans I guess; they're so easy and everybody wears them, from boring old me to the A-List celebrities so it's hard not to feel that little bit more confident and accepted in them because you really can't go wrong!

Thank you so much Amanda for tagging me in this. I really enjoyed answering the questions and reading yours. As this is a tag, I'm supposed to write questions and tag my current favourite bloggers to answer them, however as I've been pretty absent from the blogging community recently I don't think I have the right to pick out favourites. However, I will write some questions and anybody who wishes to answer them, feel free! I'd love to read your answers so let me know if you do answer them!
1. What is one book you'd really recommend reading?
2. If you could only describe yourself in three words what would they be?
3. If you could be any other person for a day (famous or not famous) who would you be, and why?
4. What would you spend the day doing if you could do what ever you wanted, with nothing such as money or time to limit you?
5. Do you have one favourite song that no matter how many times you hear it, or no matter how old it is you still love it just the same?
6. If you had the power to see your future, would you?
7. What is one thing (excluding necessities) that you couldn't live without?
8. Do you have any blog recommendations?
9. If you had the power to change one thing about the world, what would you change?
10. If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would you tell yourself?

Even though I have periods of time when I'm not blogging or reading many other blogs, I honestly always find myself returning to read Amanda's blog even when I'm not reading many others. She really is one of my favourite bloggers, so I urge anyone reading this to check out her blog (which is fantastically elegantly written by the way!).

January Favourites

Hello my lovely readers. How is it that January has already come and gone?
I came to a realisation that I've only ever done one monthly favourites post in the 7 months I've had this blog, and it was all the way back in July when I first started blogging. So, a second one is long overdue, so I'm going to do it now.

"Noughts and Crosses" by Malorie Blackman

At the beginning of the year, I set myself a reading target of at least 15 books in 2016 (it's nothing compared to my friend's 50, but at least it's something), and the first of those books was "Noughts and Crosses". My sister gave it to me for Christmas and I'd heard nothing but good reviews from others who've read it. I became quickly enthralled with the story and was reading whenever I had a chance. I know can't wait to read the other 3 in the series, which I'll be doing very soon!

"25", Adele
My mum got this for Christmas and I've been listening to it a lot. It was very much awaited for by the world - me included. Adele has got one of the most powerful, honest and purely beautiful voices that I've ever heard, so I knew that I'd love album number 3, just as I did with numbers 1 and 2. My favourite song is without a doubt, "Hello" - it's one of my favourite songs ever, so of course it tops the album for me. Every song is a masterpiece, although my top 3 (excluding "Hello") are: "When We Were Young", "Water Under The Bridge" and "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)".

More Music
I've been listening to music a lot more this month, as I got two more albums for Christmas: "Made In The A.M." by One Direction, and "1989" by Taylor Swift, both of which I absolutely love. Since Taylor's music is no longer on Spotify, I've downloaded them onto my phone, so I've been listening to whole albums instead of single songs now; one of them being "Native" by One Republic. It came out a couple of years ago and I've had it on my phone for a while, but I've listened to it a lot more recently and I really think it's amazing! My favourite song is probably "Au Revoir", I think it's beautiful. I'm going to listen to have a look into their other albums now!

Accessorize Purse
My best friend gave me this for Christmas and it's so cute! It's so handy to take to school and I can keep everything from coins and hair bands and clips to keep them all in one place, and it's so pretty, so thank you so much to my best friend for being so lovely and giving this to me!

Hot Water Bottle
I've never had a hot water bottle before, but I was given one for Christmas so of course I tried out. Turns out I love them, I mean they're so cozy, and how cute is this one with the adorable fox cover?!

Lumosity App
This is a brain training type of app, in which you get three games each day (with the free version) which you can play as much as you like, to improve skills such as attention, memory and problem solving. All of the games are so fun, and I love the train game the most as it's really addictive and improves your multi tasking and attention skills! I'd recommend you download it!

Sewing Book

I popped into WHSmith's the other week and felt like getting a sewing book as I want to become a bit more creative and develop a new hobby. Well I bought this book by Dorling Kindersley, and it's really useful. It has loads of techniques and basic skills, but also has several projects for you to try out, which I'm going to do!

Ralph Lauren Perfume
I went into Boots hoping to get myself some perfume in the sale. I've never had a "posh perfume" before, only body sprays and things like that. Anyway, this one was reduced from £43 to £21.50 and I love the smell. The best part about it was that not only did the set come with the perfume bottle, but it also came with a shower gel, and a mini bottle to take around to refresh throughout the day!

Memory Jar
Lastly, but by no means least, I've been loving my memory jar. I first heard this idea from my favourite Youtuber, Fabulous Hannah, who suggested that her viewers made one for themselves. Basically, what I do is write down little things that have made me smile or feel happy then pop them in the jar. And at the end of the year I'll open up the jar (which will hopefully be full!) and read through what a lovely year I will have had! I'm doing this because I feel like we can easily forget all the good things in a year if one bad thing has happened. Like last year I found doing my GCSEs quite stressful and now looking back on it, I can't actually remember all the little things in life that I enjoyed. I don't want the same thing to happen this year, so I'm making sure to keep up-to-date with this memory jar!

So those are my favourite things throughout January! Let me know what sorts of things you've loved this month, as I love hearing from you!

Thank you so much for reading,
Love as always,
Georgia

My Pinterest top 10 picks!

Not too long ago, I discovered the fabulous land of Pinterest. It's brilliant and I love it!

For any of you who aren't familiar with it, it's basically a pin board site: You can search for 'pins' which can be anything you like, outfits, films, cake, winter etc. - The site is filled with inspiration so you can search pretty much anything and not be disappointed! It's a great way to gather all the things you like in one place and then refer back to it later.
For example, here is my pin board for outfit ideas (because I'm useless at putting awesome outfits together!)

I use Pinterest for 2 main things: They are, inspirational quotes - most of which I get from Sprinkle of Glitter's page - and photography - because I'm in awe of the beauty in the photos.

Firstly, I'll choose 5 of my favourite quotes to share:

Important words to live by

It's all about perspective

Never give up on your dreams

Spread the love

Always remember this

And now, I'll trawl through and try to pick out 5 of my favourite photos:
Disclaimer: I fully admit that these photos are not taken by me. I searched on Pinterest and fell in love with them so pinned them to my own board. They are not mine. I just had to share their beauty with you.

Gorgeous Paris in spring

Beautiful New York in monochrome

Cute little Parisian cafe

Hidden New York

Colourful Notting Hill in London

So, there are my 10 top pins on Pinterest, I hope you enjoyed them!
If you don't have an account, then think about making one. It's so fun to just scroll through your pin board of stuff that you love!

Thank you for reading!
Love as always,
Georgia

Disclaimer: All opinions expressed are my own. None of the above photos were taken by me, and I fully admit that. I simply found them on Pinterest and fell in love, so I had to share them with you guys. None of the quotes are mine either, but they are great words to live by, so I wanted to share them too.
Happy reading xxx

Why I Love: Louise Pentland

I'm sure you've all heard of Louise. Louise Pentland? Her Youtube channel, a Sprinkle of Glitter? She has a growing audience of well over 2 million subscribers? And a highly successful blog too? Okay, if you still don't know who I'm talking about, I genuinely feel like you're missing out, and you need Louise in your life.

Louise is truly a wonderful person. She goes around sprinkling happiness (excuse the pun) wherever she goes, and her videos never fail to make me smile. After watching a video or reading a blog post, I always go away having gained something. Whether it be, more confidence or simply being thankful that there are people like Louise and her daughter Darcy in this world who are so beautifully kind and loving.

She has a great passion that people deserve to and should feel confident with themselves and enjoy life more, and this passion has had an effect on me; gradually, I'm gaining more confidence and have started to appreciate and be thankful for the people who want me in their lives, instead of worrying about those who don't. I love this quote by Louise: "You are not defined by other people's opinions." It really gets to me. Before, I always worried whether other people liked my outfit, or if it mattered that I rarely wore make-up. Then Louise made me realise that I should NOT be worrying. It's such a stupid waste of time to be make yourself unhappy because you're trying to please other people. The truth is, you can't please everyone, and the people who really are worth having in your life will be pleased with you however you are. Don't change yourself for anyone.

So a few months ago, Louise got behind and supported the "Use Your And" campaign to encourage us to celebrate all of our qualities and ignore labels that may be forced upon us. Even though this was quite a while ago, I don't feel like it's any less important so, I'm going to use my 'and': "I'm a baking lover and a football fan. I'm aspiring to be a business woman and I'm Harry Potter obsessed." There is nothing or nobody saying that we can't be as many things as we want to be, and the "Use Your And" has helped me to realise that. Now I'm acknowledging my various qualities, and everybody should be too.

Now on to the topic of her recently published book Life With a Sprinkle of Glitter!!!!! This was released on the 2nd of July, which was the day before my birthday so I asked for it as a present and I was so thankful to get it!!!! Obviously I started reading it straight away. And let me tell you, it is one of the most encouraging books I have ever read. The book covers a real variety of topics, for example, there are some brilliant little anecdotes that I loved reading (especially the dating ones!) and there's a great chapter on "Crafts" which includes instructions to make some bunting, and I'm currently in the process of making my own! There are also some really practical chapters such as "Online Safety", "Bullying", "Body Confidence" and "Comfort Zones".

I feel that "Comfort Zones" is a chapter that I can read whenever I'm a bit daunted about a new experience. I know Louise sometimes feels like this, but knowing that she does and how she deals with it has helped me to cope with this feeling myself: I'm going to be starting at Sixth Form in September and a few months ago, I would've expected to be absolutely terrified by this point, but thinking about it now, I'm actually quite excited. Yes, I am quite sad that I'm not going to be spending as much time with my current friends (of my 4 best friends, one is the year below me, one is going to a different school, two are going to the same school as me, but I'm only taking one mutual subject as one of those two) so it's going to be very weird, but then I think about the positive things that I'll gain from the new experiences! I'm such good friends with these 4 (I've been best friends with 2 of them since I was 6 weeks old, and best friends with the other 2 as soon as we met in year 7) so realistically I know we're going to stay good friends, but also I can meet so many other people which is really exciting! Thanks to Louise I have managed to convert my thinking to stop worrying about the bad things, and be grateful for the good things, and I would like to thank her from the bottom of my heart for that.

When I started drafting this post, I was originally planning it to be a book review of Life With a Sprinkle of Glitter, but then I realised that there is so much more to celebrate about Louise than just her abilities as an author! Therefore I decided that I wanted to write about Louise as a person and express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation. She is such an inspirational human being. I genuinely believe that. She is a role model. She is my role model for definite.

Love as always, Georgia xxx

P.S. I understand that this post was very long, but I hoped you enjoyed it anyway! I was considering about making this part of a new series for my blog, under the title "Why I love..." and then writing about why I love a certain topic, person or thing. If this idea appeals to you (don't worry they don't all have to be as long as this one!) could you please let me know - I don't want to be writing posts that nobody has any interest in! I really value your opinions! If you want, you can follow my bloglovin account here to get updates on your feed when I post something new!!! Anyhow, thank you as always for reading, I love you all!

Random July Favourites

Hey guys! I haven't posted in a while, and since it's now August, I thought it might be a good idea to tell you the things I've been loving during July. I've gathered quite a random selection of things to show you that don't really fit into any one category, so I've just called them "Random Favourites" and I'm hoping that covers it!! Here we go!

Quote: "Life is full of beautiful possibilities."
For my birthday, I received a card from my Auntie with this quote on the front. It's a simple quote but I really love it. I love it so much that I've framed it - yes, a card...I have framed a card. I think optimism is underrated, and I think we should all feel a more positive. So I've framed the quote to remind me of this.

Film: "Kingsman. The Secret Service"
I saw this film at the cinema with my dad and sister and all 3 of us loved it! The other week, I was at the supermarket with my dad and saw it on DVD, so obviously, we had to buy it. I've since watched it twice more, and honestly it's genius - pure genius. It's a spy film which doesn't take itself too seriously so there's a lot of comedy in it so it's really very funny!!
*DISCLAIMER: This is rated a 15 so you should only watch it if you exceed this age*

Songs: I have quite a few favourites...
If you haven't heard any of them, I really recommend listening to them on either Youtube or Spotify.
  • "T-shirt weather" by Circa Waves
  • "End up here" by 5 Seconds of Summer
  • "No control" by One Direction (not a single)
  • "Drag me down" by One Direction
  • "We all want the same thing" by Rixton
Soap and Glory Body Spray:
This smells so nice!! I got it as a birthday present and use it nearly every day now!!

Necklace:
This necklace came in a pack of 3 from New Look and I wear it a lot to make an outfit look that little bit more fancy. I don't know if this exact one is still available, but New Look have a great range of jewelry, so I'm sure you'll be able to find something you really like!!

Kimono:
For my birthday, my mum and I went into town and went shopping. I had longed for a kimono for a long time, and my mum bought this one for me as a birthday present. It was £19.99 from New Look. It goes with almost any outfit!
Sorry for the bad quality photo!

Pyjamas:
Primark have a great range of pyjamas. Seriously, I love it. Nearly every time I go in there, they have new designs, and every time, I see something that I feel the need to get. As I've mentioned before, I'm  a huge Harry Potter fan/addict, and Primark have loads of Harry Potter clothing, which they seem to refresh a lot. Therefore, I have bought it all. There's nothing more to say.
Here are just 3 of Primark's Harry Potter

Hand Lotion:
My mum was given this French Connection handwash and hand lotion for her birthday, and immediately I basically fell in love with the smell! So much so that I asked for it for Christmas!! It smells sooo nice!! And even though I've had it since Christmas, there's still a lot left! I little goes a long way. It really does make your hands much softer and smoother!!

Finally, my Colouring Book:
Adult colouring books seem to be hugely popular at the moment. I'd seen several Youtubers recommend them, so I thought I'd buy one and try it out. Mine was from HobbyCraft, but you can get them almost anywhere, and there are so many different books you could get! It's so relaxing, and the drawings are so beautiful that it's such a fun task. I thought I'd grown out of 'colouring in' but I haven't, and if you try it out, you'll probably find that you haven't either!!

Thank you as always for reading! What are your July favourites? Leave a comment and let me know!

Love, Georgia xxx
